Schedule Post in WordPress to check WP-cron work

First of all let’s clarify what WP-cron is.

WP-cron is a command used for scheduling tasks. It is responsible for WordPress updates, post scheduling, etc.

In order to check if it works or no, schedule a post for several minutes forward and check if it has been posted.

If it has not been posted use the following method.

Add the following lines into your .htaccess file:

<Files “wp-cron.php”>
Allow from All
Satisfy Any
</Files>

It should be noted that hosting / server can ban to setup necessary settings to enable the Cron due to security reasons using firewall or by mod_secure on your hosting / server.
